The people behind the practice
Every practice has its own rhythm. There are questions to work through, information to check, and time to make for learning. There are also people behind that work, each bringing different experiences and perspectives to the profession.
RMA Society begins with a simple idea: those perspectives deserve a shared home.
We’re creating a place for registered migration agents across Australia to discover useful resources, consider new ideas, and feel more connected to the wider profession. The starting point is deliberately open: practical guides you can read and save, a journal you can explore, and official resources you can follow.
A place to stay curious
Professional curiosity can begin with a small question. Is there a clearer way to organise a reading list? What would make time for learning easier? Where is the original source behind an update?
Our journal makes room for questions like these. You’ll find reflections on professional practice, approaches to learning, and perspectives on the society as it develops. Each article has a visible byline, a short summary, and a publication date. Where an article draws on an official resource, we link to it.
We want the reading experience to feel considered: enough context to understand an idea, clear signposts to explore further, and space to form your own view.
Start with the source
Useful commentary should make original information easier to find. Our resource directory links directly to OMARA’s Code of Conduct information, CPD guidance, and the public register.
The journal provides general information and professional reflection. It does not replace the original source, the facts of a particular matter, or current official guidance. Our editorial approach explains how we handle authorship, sources, and updates.
Growing with a shared purpose
The society is just getting started. As it takes shape, we’ll share more about the people involved and what comes next. For now, we’re building the foundation: a thoughtful place to read, keep learning, and find a useful starting point.
